Registered Massage Therapists

Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs) are health care professionals committed to restoring and maintaining your optimal health and the pain-free functioning of your body. Therapists are educated and trained to assess and treat the body using techniques that include massage and manual therapy, joint mobilization, and hydrotherapy. In addition, we are able to prescribe rehabilitative exercises such as stretching, strengthening, and postural exercises.

Massage Therapy is an effective approach to pain management and rehabilitation.

RMTs are effective in treating and providing relief for a wide range of conditions such as:

  • migraine headaches

  • tendonitis

  • arthritis

  • osteoporosis

  • fibromyalgia

  • ports injuries,

  • as well as manyother common conditions related to soft tissue and joint dysfunction.

_______________

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is the insertion and stimulation of  thin needles on specific acupoints on the body, found along several energetic channels that map the entirety of the body. Chinese Medicine is ancient and profound, it is the balance and smooth flow of Qi (chee), blood, and body fluids, within and around these channels that provide our bodies optimal balance and health. When our Qi is imbalanced it can make one susceptible to illness. Through an in-depth intake and diagnosis process, a TCM Acupuncturist chooses specific points to help bring balance back to a patients body. This approach differs from western medicine as it focuses on treating both the symptoms and the root causes of the patient’s illness.

_______________

Reflexology

Reflexology therapies are natural therapeutic methods derived from this study based on the principle that there are reflexes in the body that map to other parts, glands, and organs of the body.

Reflexology therapy can:

  • Relieve tension

  • Improve circulation

  • Support the body’s efforts to function optimally

  • Helps to treat a variety of symptoms such as musculoskeletal pain, insomnia, anxiety, stress; and hormonal and digestive issues to name a few.

Unlike other therapies which manipulate bones or muscle tissues, Reflexology can provide much needed relief through working the body reflex that ails you on a part of the body that does not.
